Eribum Laser

Erbium laser resurfacing is a laser treatment designed to remove superficial to moderate deep lines, and wrinkles on the face, hands, neck, and chest.

How It Works

The laser works by seeking out water in the skin and the energy created by the laser pulse focuses on the tissue resulting in vaporization or ablation of the skin.

The Erbium Laser produces this ablation in the top layer of the skin also called the epidermis, resulting in a more focused removal of old skin cell layers.

Our experienced staff are able to accomplish effective results. Check out our before and afters!

Number of Treatments Needed

Typically, significant results are seen after one treatment, but depending on the desired results, some may need 2-3 treatments which can be repeated 1-4 months later depending on the strength of the initial treatment ablation.

Common Treatment Areas

Commonly treated areas are the face, neck, chest and hands.

Who Benefits

The Erbium Laser treatment is best for skin types Fitzpatrick’s I-IV and for those who want to improve damaged skin, the appearance of deep lines or those who have loss of tone and texture.

What To Expect

Before the treatment begins, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and numbed with a compounded topical  anesthetic.

The skin is then thoroughly cleansed again and the treatment begins.

Aftercare

It is always important with any laser treatment to be mindful of your sun exposure for 1-2 weeks pre and post procedure for best results and to wear sunscreen.

The skin will need to be cleansed several times a day for the first 2-3 days with a Saline or a diluted vinegar solution which will be discussed prior to your appointment.

Application of an emollient like ointment such as Aquaphor should be applied to keep the skin moist which will promote proper skin healing.

It is also very important to avoid unprotected sun exposure prior to and after the treatment for best results.
