Microneedling
How It Works
Medical Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that's used to treat skin concerns via collagen production. Medical microneedling uses a mechanically motorized device to systematically “injure” the skin with sterile minuscule needle punctures to the outermost layer of the skin. By controlling the depth and frequency of needling, the skin responds by organic methods of biostimulation to create new collagen and elastin fibers via the inflammatory response.
Medical Microneedling has scientifically demonstrated the improvement of acne scars, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, large pores and stretch marks. It can also be used to correct and treat C-section scars by breaking down scar tissue and inducing the remodeling of natural collagen

Pre-Care Instructions
It is recommended to discontinue the use of retinols, hydroquinone, or other harsh chemicals 5-7 days prior to treatment.
Chemical peels, facials, and facial waxing needs to be completed 7-10 days prior to microneedling.
Number of Treatments Needed
Those who just want to improve skin texture can usually get great results with only three treatments.
Those treating acne scars may need up to eight treatments, while patients treating thicker keloid scars may need up to 10 treatments.
The exact timing depends on the age of the skin and the aggressiveness of the treatment.
Maintenance treatments can be performed as needed.
What To Expect During Treatment
Typically, a microneedling treatment begins with taking before and after pictures of the treatment area, then applying a numbing cream for about 15-20 minutes to minimize discomfort.
Overall, it's a very tolerable procedure and takes about 30-40 minutes.
Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid
We infuse a medical grade Hyaluronic Acid serum to the skin during our microneedling treatments. Hyaluronic Acid is a substance found naturally in the body, it's main function is to retain water and keep tissues hydrated and plump.
Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid also increases collagen production by up to 200% and can hold 1,000 times it's weight in water which leads to plump, smooth, and youthful skin results.
Downtime
On days 1 and 3 it may look like you have a sunburn, and your skin may feel tight, dry, swollen or sensitive to the touch.
On days 3-5 your skin should start to return to it's normal tone and any swelling should subside, though there is still the possibility of some minor peeling or flaking.
After-Care Instructions
Use a gentle cleanser (no SLS or glycolic acid washes) for the first few days post treatment.
Proper post-care products will be VITAL to the recovery and healing of tissue after microneedling.
What to Avoid
To ensure the proper healing environment, be certain to observe the following:
For the first 72 hours do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare.
Patients should avoid sun exposure for up to 2 weeks after needling.
No tanning beds.
Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
No makeup should be applied within the first 24 hours.
When You'll Notice A Difference
You may notice a difference in the texture of your skin right away but true collagen regeneration happens about 2 weeks after the treatment date. A series of treatments performed will result in an accumulated restorative, anti-aging effect.
